ITINERARY
Our journey begins at approximately 8:00 AM at the designated meeting point for this tour. Just over an hour from Quito is the Mindo cloud forest, full of incredible plant and animal life, perfect for a day trip from Quito. This tour of Mindo cloud forest is a day of adventure in nature. The first place we will visit is the Alambi Reserve, a location rich in avifauna, home to a wide variety of species, and one of the best areas for spotting endemic, migratory, and some threatened bird species. After that, we will visit the Nambillo Waterfalls, where you can enjoy nature in all its splendor. Finally, we will take the Chocolate Tour, where we will be given an explanation about the history of cocoa in the world, varieties of cocoa, the importance of this fruit in Ecuador, and see how Yumbos transforms the best cocoa in the world into chocolate. You will taste all the products (12 flavors of chocolate bars, cocoa honey, ginger syrup, BBQ sauce) and enjoy tropical fruit accompanied by a portion of brownie and our emblematic cup of hot chocolate made with 100% cacao.
Your guide will recommend where to enjoy a delicious lunch or snack (OPTIONAL, NOT INCLUDED).
We will return to Quito around 17:00.
